Meet Damson

Meet our new seasonal cask beer, Damson!

A satisfyingly rich and velvety plum porter, ebony in colour with a ruby tint. Chocolate and stone fruit aromas hit first, pursued by a balanced flavour of sweet ripe plum, chocolate and nut.

Damson is brewed with plums from Clinks Care Farm, a 143 acre Norfolk County Farm in Toft Monks. The farm sits on the border of Suffolk and Norfolk, not far from Beccles, and combines the care of the land with the care of people.

People participate in a variety of jobs on the farm from animal husbandry to market gardening, as the natural and social environment has a positive effect on mental and physical health.

115 fruit trees were planted by volunteers over a decade ago, which have produced delicious fruits every spring since. Last year we were able to freeze some of these plums, both fresh from the orchard and wild from the hedgerows, which we used to craft our Damson Plum Porter.

Damson will be available as a seasonal cask ale in pubs across East Anglia from February through to end of March.
